Basic Tips: Tie your line directly to the top swivel using an improved clinch knot. Use 5 inch swimbaits with the 3/4oz and 4 inch swimbaits with the 1/2oz. Line should be rated 12lbs or more. Fish are not line shy when they attack this bait, so feel free to use 50lb braid. Be sure to center each or the swimbaits on the leadheads. After use in saltwater, spray each swivel with a lubricant (WD40). Be sure to tune the wire after you catch a fish. Don't be afraid to put the heat to these baits. They are rated at 50lbs and the wire is the same that is used for Musky in the North.

Advanced Tips: When casting the Double Shot or Triple Shot, you'll be surprised to find the baits usually right themselves. You would think that with all the hooks and wire you'd be sure to snag your line, but this is not usually the case. 50lb braid is great to use when casting and retrieving. Let the bait drop, then use a slow stead retrieve pausing every once in a while. This is a reaction bait. You don't need to worry about fish being line shy. It takes a little practice to learn how to cast heavy baits. Be patient and use a heavy rod. When your trolling this bait, it's good to stay at a slow steady speed keeping the bait below the water line. For Striper fishing, you may use a down-rigger or leadcore line when trolling in deep water.
